This story was really weird and hard to follow. I didn't understand why his wife was even there after he kissed her goodbye back at home. That's what made me think it was a dream because it's not like she didn't know he would be there. Why would she go there and take part in something like that knowing he would be there?
I think if this was really a dream then the story would be pointless unless there is meaning to the dream. I don't see why he would have a dream about witches if it had no real meaning. Then his wife showing up made it more interesting. I'm confused and I have so many questions. Is someone trying to reveal something to him in a dream or is this actually happening. If it is, why? If it's just a silly dream why does it seem so real and why did it leave him sad and gloomy. He must have thought it meant something because if he didn't it wouldn't have bothered him so much.
