Film Analysis by Aaryn Howard
In the scene, the director focused on the Gladiator meeting the emperor; who he sought out for in in the movie. the lighting of the scene was back lighting, partial, and high key lighting; capturing the long and close up shots. The costumes were authentic giving the characters in the scene a royal and warrior effect. The Gladiator used a stick from the ground as one of his props in this scene. The others had swords and helmets as their props. The music expressed in this scene wanted the audience to see the glorious moment for the Gladiator after his introduction to the emperor. The crowd's applause also shows their respect for the Gladiator in the scene.
