Film Analysis

In this film the director uses many of the terms that we talked about it class. The costumes helped us understand what they wore during that time period. The setting being a Colosseum also tied everything together to help us keep the time period in mind. Props that were used were the horses. Close up shots and music were used to put emphasis on the important and intense scenes. For instance when the gladiator removed his mask the camera got close on his face and music began to play. The more intense the scene got the sound volume increased, whether it was the music playing in the background or the crowd cheering.
